What were Customers & Prospects Most Interested in Discussing at our last Five events in Europe & North America?

Over the last nine weeks, we’ve spent a lot of time with customers, channel partners, EPCs and prospects, showcasing our pumps & compressors at trade shows in the US and in Europe. While each event had a unique focus, we noticed the following themes emerged at each show.

Sealless Mag Drive Pumps for Chemical Applications:

At ACHEMA in Frankfurt on August 22nd, Sundyne showcased its mag drive pumps for chemical applications. The majority of inquiries we received focused on the HMD and ANSIMAG pumps, and we highlighted the following features & benefits:

HMD Kontro’s recent expansion of the CSI range of ISO sealless pumps – which now includes 13 Frame 1 and 16 Frame 2 sizes. In addition to a wider range of hydraulics, this expansion also allows for greater variation in the inlet and outlet sizes, to accommodate a wider range of flow rates - up to 120 m3/h and heads up to 62m, all optimized for high performance. For more information on HMD pumps, click here.

ANSIMAG’s new ALI (Aggressive Liquid ISO) family of ETFE-lined sealless magnetic drive pumps. All ANSIMAG wetted parts are molded ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoro Ethylene) components, and an aramid firer reinforced containment shell adds additional protection and unprecedented reliability. Further details on this new pump are available in the recent feature in Modern Pumping Today Magazine.

During the ACHEMA show, we illustrated how both sealless mag-drive pumps deliver key operational benefits for chemical processing, while protecting people and the environment from aggressive and corrosive liquids, where product integrity cannot be compromised. Both pump lines are specifically engineered to deliver high performance and safety when handling fluids, including chlor-alkali, agricultural chemicals, fine and inorganic chemicals, isocyanates, plastics and polymers.

Pumps & Centrifugal Compressors for Midstream Applications:

Three weeks later, on September 11th Sundyne’s team attended the Gas Processing Association (GPA) event in San Antonio, where we showcased how Sundyne Pumps & Centrifugal Compressors are used in midstream gas processing applications such as: Amine Treating, Molecular Sieve Dehydration, Cryogenic Processing & Distillation, and Fractionation applications, which remove carbon atoms and separate heavier hydrocarbons (such as Ethane, Propane and Butane) from gas streams. Additional details on Sundyne Centrifugal Compressors is available here.

Pumps & Compressors for EPI (Energy & Petrochemical) Applications:

Later that same week (September 13th) the Sundyne team visited Houston for the Turbo Pump Symposium. We spent 3 days discussing a wide range of pumping applications for refineries & petrochemical plants, where Sundyne Pumps are widely used in Reformer, Hydrotreater, Hydrocracker and Isomerization process units (for services such as Bottoms, Reflux, Overhead, Transfer, and Charge/Feed applications). Both of Sundyne’s Centrifugal & Diaphragm compressors were on display in the Sundyne booth, and both compressors received a wide range of inquiries from existing customers, EPCs and new prospects.

Diaphragm Compressors for Hydrogen Applications:

Just 3 weeks later, the tour continued in Denver via the Hydrogen Next Conference (October 4th), followed by the Hydrogen Tech & CCUS Event in Bremen Germany (October 19th). Each event revealed unprecedented interest and demand for PPI Diaphragm Compressors, and we spent the majority of each show discussing the following characteristics:

  • High Compression Ratios: to meet the pressures required by mobility applications and industrial de-carbonization projects.
  • Product Purity: triple diaphragm sets ensure that the process gas is isolated from the hydraulic oil, providing absolute process purity, which is critical for fuel cell applications.
  • Reliability: All process gas-contacting parts in a PPI compressor are made from corrosion resistant alloys, making them ideal for applications involving hazardous and toxic gasses.
  • Environmental Safety: The static seals in PPI compressors ensure zero leakage, and PPI’s Leak Detection System immediately detects potential diaphragm or seal failures.
  • Lower Energy Costs: PPI’s rugged crank cases and drive trains are specially designed to deliver maximum compression at the lowest energy cost.
  • Industry Standards Compliance: with the API 618 standard.
  • Explosion-Proof Certification: to meet various standards for explosion-proof environments around the globe.
  • Custom Engineering: to manufacture customized systems that are optimized for the gas pressure, molecular weight, heat, corrosion and velocity of each customer’s application.
  • Global Support: Sundyne’s global network of channel partners provides prompt & complete support (and spare parts) anywhere around the globe.
  • Additional information on PPI Compressors is available here.

Now that the 2022 trade show season is complete, we look forward to following up with the hundreds of people we talked to, to learn more about their needs, and to share additional details on how Sundyne’s pumps & compressors can meet those needs.
