HMD Kontro Delivers New ISO Hydraulics that Reduce Energy Consumption and Extend Flow Coverage for the CSI Line of Chemical Service Pumps

Two New Hydraulics, the CSI 50-32-160E and the CSI 80-65-160E, Extend HMD’s Flow Coverage by 77% and 38% Respectively

HMD Kontro’s new expansion to the CSI Chemical Service ISO pump family brings the total number of CSI Frame 1 models to 8. Five additional CSI Frame 1 models are scheduled to be released later in 2023, in parallel with a higher capacity CSI ‘ISO’ and CSA ‘ASME’ Frame 2 range.

The new hydraulics facilitate higher duties in each size whilst keeping the pump footprint and overall cost to a minimum. Specifically, new model 50-32-160E extends BEP flow rate by approximately 77 percent over its predecessor (50-32-160H), and new model 80-65-160E extends BEP flow rate by 38 percent over its predecessor (80-65-160H).

The new CSI hydraulics delivered this month and the upcoming CSI frame 1 and 2 models that will be released in the months ahead put HMD in a market-leading position for ISO pump performance. The combination of performance, reliability and safety make HMD Kontro CSI pumps a preferred choice for chemical processing, while protecting people and the environment from aggressive, corrosive and acidic liquids.

Meeting ISO dimensional and construction standards 2858 and 15783, CSI sealless pumps are specifically designed to safety handle fluids like chlor-alkali, agricultural chemicals, fine inorganic chemicals, isocyanates, plastics and polymers. HMD Kontro sealless pumps also meet the requirements of other industries such as battery manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, water and wastewater treatment and petrochemicals.

The modular design of the CSI range allows for maximum part interchangeability and reduces the number of pumps needed when upgrading existing installations. Dimensionally interchangeable options, online selection & configuration capabilities and global availability simplify the procurement process, shorten the commissioning process and deliver cost savings from improved efficiencies.

Sealless magnetic drive pumps offer total containment. With no seals or support systems needed, the risk of product emissions through leakage is eliminated while optimizing installation time and cost. For processes involving especially hazardous chemicals, secondary control or containment options are available for CSI pumps that assure complete safety and emissions control. The high efficiency ZeroLoss containment shell is available as standard, providing energy savings of up to 25% compared to the metallic containment shell through reduced induction losses. A smaller footprint is achieved through close coupling which eliminates the need for shaft alignment and bearing frame related maintenance.
